To capitalise on this opportunity, Shell Global Solutions (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (342714-T), has been established as a Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status company based in the Petronas Twin Towers. This business will serve as the Asia Pacific headquarters as well as the flagship oil and gas consultancy in the region. To continue our growth and success we are now recruiting regional experts to join our top-tier international team in cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities:
Our group provides technical support services to client refiners both within and outside the Shell Group in the areas of catalytic reforming, alkylation, isomerisation and polymerisation from offices in Amsterdam, Houston and Kuala Lumpur. Our efforts are geared to selecting the best licenser technology and catalysts available on the market and to achieving pacesetting performance at our customer refineries. As part of the team, your responsibilities include:
* Troubleshooting, monitoring and optimisation of unit operations;
* Lead/participate in revamps and new design projects;
* Technology developments and innovation;
* Inspection of internals, start-up, shutdown, regeneration and catalyst handling;
* Support effective functioning of the global team through appropriate local leadership, coordination, planning, team working and communication.

The right candidate will have the potential to grow towards a role as Regional Manager whereupon you will be expected to:
* Support development and delivery of the group’s plan in line with set targets;
* Maximise team’s capability by effective delivery of Customer Value Propositions (CVP), and support of strategic sales & marketing initiatives;
* Manage recruitment and development of staff in line with resource strategy and targets;
* Drive effective resource and project management in line with group priorities, ensuring that appropriate skills are maintained and developed;
* Ensure that all HSE, Group, Regulatory, Quality and other appropriate standards are complied with.

Requirements:
* Minimum of 10 years' refinery operations support experience with expertise in at least two of platforming/catalytic reforming, isomerisation or alkylation;
* Applicants with hydrocracking experience will also be considered;
* Refinery economics & scheduling knowledge as well as experience in design and project related work will be advantageous;
* Multi cultural exposure in several segments of related business (e.g. operations/ technology/research);
* Demonstrates personal initiative, flexibility and capacity for creative and conceptual thinking. Should demonstrate commercial ability and have an entrepreneurial mindset;
* Proven interpersonal and relationships skills in complex environments;
* This is a high profile position with an international remit and traveling will be required;
* A remuneration package based on the conditions in the country of employment will be offered for this position.
