Weatherford, a multi-national company who are involved in the drilling and production sectors of oil, gas and geothermal projects worldwide, are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and motivated individual to fill the position of:
CONTRACT SPECIALIST
Responsible to ensures that all tenders or agreements are reviewed in accordance with internal procedures. This includes ensuring that all tenders or agreements are subjected to legal, tax, and credit reviews.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Engineering. Master’s degree in Law/Business/Engineering would be a plus.
• Advanced computer skills (the Microsoft Office applications and the Internet).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic awareness of contract law and related legal concepts including practical application in a business environment, in particular, upstream oil and gas operations.
• Detail oriented and results focused.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to think analytically and creatively.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Ability to travel.
• 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in contract review and negotiation or related legal or commercial background.
