We are currently taking applicants for the following position:
PROJECT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Requirements :
1) Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2) 5 years experience as a Project Electrical Engineer in infrastructure engineering and construction industries, preferably with mining and or construction companies.
Responsibilities:
1) Initially involved in detail design work to review and provide constructability input to electrical power design prepared by design sub consultant and maintain timely deliverables schedule.
2) Prepare material requisition.
3) Prepare Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for electrical material to ensure it’s in line with project requirement.
4) Review on vendor submission detail drawing and data sheet prior submission for client approval.
5) Prepare scope of work being subcontracted such as Package Power Control Room, Cathodic Protection system, Fire and Gas Detection System, HVAC, Electrical Heat Tracing.
6) Subcontractor works supervision and administration
7) Liaise with the designated client representative and design engineer to resolve day to day technical construction issues through meeting and formal technical queries
8) Review pre-commission work pack prepare by others
9) Prepare tie-in and or shut down activities schedule and procedure.
10) Identification and substantiation (support) of electrical variation work and supply to contract scope of work and supply.
11) Ensure all action items assigned to electrical discipline are addressed.
12) Act as representative to witnessed FAT and SAT and MIGAS certification
13) Assisting in day to day project construction and project reporting.
General requirements :
1) Excellent English skills - spoken & written
2) Team oriented, self motivated and ability to prioritize work.
3) Strong interpersonal & communication skills. Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within the organization.
