We are seeking experienced people as a Project Manager – Mining will be based on site, Kalimantan – Indonesia.
:: Project Manager - Mining
Reporting to Operational Manager, you will be accountable to implementation of Project Management Plans, direction of production, management of external agents such as local community, local government, vendors and contractors. You will work in large workforce – in excess of 1600 employees and large subcontractor base. To promote and maintain a safe workplace in order to ensure no incidents occur. Implement and comply with the Contract between TCI and the client. Implement and comply with the Contract between subcontractors and TCI. Ensure the client’s production requirements are met on a monthly basis by instigating: cycle time, haul road, equipment production and geotechnical studies; plans which maximize production capability safely and reduce re-work; implementing drainage, sedimentation and environmental plans; working areas are monitored on a daily basis to ensure equipment movement is not congested; drill and blast plans which increase fragmentation thus equipment productivity; meetings to ensure instructions are being received and understood by the people in the field. Exceed the client’s production requirements: by implementing plans which maximise equipment productivity; ensuring haul roads are properly drained and the severity index is minimized to preserve tyre and equipment component life; minimizing the impact of water in the pit; reducing the amount of re-work; ensuring that there is a clear understanding of work requirements from the Pit Superintendents down to the operators – communication is of the upmost importance; and ensure equipment utilisation remains above 90% to maximise productivity.
You must have 5 years experiences as a Project Manager Mining experience with stable employment background with a minimum of 10 years professional experience in large open cut mining operation of which at least one or two years in production/ service supervision/ management role; multi coal seam open pit mining preferred over metalliferous mining, but is not essential.
You have tertiary qualification (degree) in Mine Engineering, Survey or related mining discipline – essential, Mine Managers Certificate (or equivalent) – preferred.
